Dentistry has come a long way. Modern techniques and technology have made dental care easier, more accessible, and most importantly, more COMFORTABLE. Dr. Sconyers and his team are always striving to provide the best state of the art dentistry available.

The team at Anderson Family Dental Care regularly attends continuing education classes, often three to four times the amount required by law, to insure that we are educated and skilled in providing our patients a higher standard of dental care.

An example of this is air abrasion. Using small abrasive particles, Dr. Sconyers can remove many dental cavities without the need for "shots".

Prevention

As with all medical conditions, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Dr. Sconyers and his team place an great emphasis upon preventive dentistry.

Regular cleanings and exams, along with good oral hygiene habits are the key to a healthy, happy mouth.

Whitening

Whiten your teeth to a healthy, younger look. As part of aging, your teeth yellow with time.

Now, with the help of Dr. Sconyers and his team, your teeth can be whitened safely and comfortably, in as little as two weeks. When done by a qualified dentist, this process has proven to be safe to your natural teeth and previous dental care.

Veneers

Painlessly repair broken, stained or crooked teeth with a natural enamel replacement. Veneers are often used for "instant" orthodontics.

Repairing teeth due to injury or wear - even slight straightening - is quick, painless and affordable with today's natural and long lasting materials.

Veneers are like giving your smile a new wardrobe.

Bonding

Bonding is similar to sculpting individual teeth with a special tooth-like material that looks, acts and feels like the real thing.

Bonding is an affordable, quick and painless way to repair many cosmetic flaws or injuries.

Tooth-colored Fillings

Replace your old, blackened mercury fillings with the new, safe tooth-colored replacements. These advanced materials make your mouth look and feel natural and unscarred.

Porcelain Crowns

When the size of a "filling" exceeds a certain proportion of the tooth, it must be replaced with a "cap," also called a "crown." Porcelain crowns look very natural and don't have a dark metal line.

Porcelain crowns reflect light with a natural healthy glow. All teeth can look shiny and white with these new materials.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are a safe and exciting, state of the art way to replace missing teeth. Many patients say its just like having their real teeth back.

Dental implants also solve many problems associated with removable of dentures. They look and feel natural, and restore your self-confidence.

Endodontics

Also known as "Root Canals", Endodontic Therapy is a way to save a tooth that has abscessed or has had an exposure of the pulpal tissue (the living tissue inside the tooth).

Using the latest state of the art techniques, Dr. Sconyers performs this procedure painlessly and often in half the time of older, more conventional techniques.

Pedodontics

At Anderson Family Dental Care, we treat the whole family. We love children and welcome them into our practice. While not all children can be treated in a general dental setting, we do our best to make dentistry a fun and rewarding experience for all family members, regardless of age.

As parents ourselves we understand your concerns for the overall health and happiness of your children, and we strive to make this a place where you and your child will feel welcome and cared for properly.

Periodontics

It is estimated that over 75% of the U.S. population has some degree of periodontal disease, a bacterial infection of the gums and bone around the teeth. It accounts for the majority of tooth loss in adults, and can be painless and symptom free until the end stages.

Dr. Sconyers and his team place great importance upon the early diagnosis and treatment of this condition. We have had a fantastic amount of success in treating and curing periodontal disease.
